STOP Majdy Wardah - ZA Testimonial

The following is the story of brother ZA in his own words. It has not been edited in any way. Only his initials are posted here in order to protect him from reprisal by Majdy Wardah (مجدي وردة) and to prevent damage to his reputation due to his association with Wardah.

English Translation

Asalaam Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuh

To the Honorable Brothers:

It has come to our attention what you have written regarding this matter (Majdy Wardah), and this is our story.

We were delighted when we heard the shaykh’s first khutbah, and it was a turning point in our lives. We became overjoyed as we began to know and get closer to the shaykh. We were even happier when we began to have private lessons with him every week, but we did not know what was behind all these of actions and events.

The mimbar (pulpit) that he would stand on was what gave him a trustworthy reputation. All of us wanted to earn status with him. However, he (Majdy Wardah) used to ask each one of us separately and privately for a sum of money without the others' knowledge. He made Allaah his witness that he was in a rush and in a very tight situation and that an instant solution was required.

The love for Allaah’s sake was what made the brothers not hesitate to help solve his problems quickly. When he traveled to Egypt, he requested a sum of money from one of the brothers. In addition, he (Majdy Wardah) requested from another brother approximately $200,000 (two hundred thousand US dollars). This brother worked hard to collect the amount. When one of his (Majdy Wardah’s) old victims heard about this, he warned the brother directly.

All of us became angry and attacked that person for what he did. In response, all of the old victims brought checks that he (Majdy Wardah) had written, which had insufficient funds in the bank account. Majdy Wardah had done the same thing (i.e. given worthless checks) to the new victims. After these endeavors, the truth was uncovered, and the picture was made clear as you have been told by others.

It is important to note that the shaykh has knowledge that no one from the common people or people of knowledge can deny. I ask Allaah that He allows him (Majdy Wardah) to repent and makes his knowledge evidence for him and not against him.

I swear by Allaah that I love him (Majdy Wardah) from the bottom of my heart, and I used to put him before my family and myself. However, as Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “A person in debt tells lies whenever he speaks and breaks promises whenever he makes (them).”

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

الى الاخوة الكرام فقد بلغنا عنكم ما كتبتم عن هذا الامر و اليكم ما لدينا من نبأ

فقد ابتهجنا عندما سمعنا للشيخ اول خطبة و كانت لنا بمثابة نقطة تحول في حياتنا و قد كنا نطير من الفرح عندما تعرفنا و تقربنا من الشيخ و كانت سعادتنا اكبر عندما اصبح لنا درس خاص مع الشيخ في كل اسبوع و لكننا لم نكم نعلم بما وراء ذلك من احداث فقد كان المنبر الذي يقف عليه هو مركز الثقة بالرجل و كل واحد منا يود ان يحظىبمكانة عند الرجل لكنه كان ينفرد بكل واحد منا على حدا و يطلب منه مبلغا من دون علم الاخرين و يجعل الله شاهدا و وكيلا و انه في عجلة من امرهو في ضيق مخنق و لابد من الحل المباشر و الفوري و كان الحب و الاقبال على الله هو ما يجعل الاخوة لا يترددون في حل المشاكل على عجل و عندما سافر الى مصر طلب طلبا سريعا وهو مبلغ من المال من احد الاخوة وكان قد طلب من اخ اخر مبلغا كبيرا جداحوالي مئتا الف دولار امريكي فاجتهد هذا الاخ لجمع المبلغ و لما سمع احد الضحايا القدامى بالخبر حذرمباشرة فكان النكير عليه و مهاجمته من الجميع فاحضر الضحايا القدامى جميعهم مع الشيكات المكتوبة و التي لا رصيد لها تمام كما فعل مع ضحاياه الجدد فكانت المحولات لكشف الامور و بعد عدة محولات انكشف الامر و وضحت الصورة كما تم اخباركم من الاخرين

مع العلم ان الشيخ عنده من العلم ما لا ينكره احد لا من العوام ولا مناهل العلم الذين شهدوا له بذلك و اسأل الله ان يتوب عليه و ان يجعل هذا العلم حجة له لا عليه و و الله اني احببته من كل قلبي و كنت اقدمه على نفسي و على اهلي ولكن كما قال صلى الله عليه وسلم ان الرجل اذا غرم وعد فاخلف و حلف فكذب
